Mindful Midwifery offers exclusive in-person classes and individual sessions specializing in topics across the spectrum of women’s health. These classes and sessions can’t be found elsewhere! Topics range from pregnancy to postpartum, puberty to menopause. All classes/sessions were created to support women, their support person and their families through their health journeys.
Hi, I am Katie O’Brien. I am a certified nurse midwife who has been committed to patient care for over 15 years. I graduated from Georgetown University in 2007 and have been delivering babies and caring for women across their lifespan ever since. In 2014 I moved back to my hometown of Dover, Delaware to be near family and to provide care to my community. I have always loved teaching and empowering women in their healthcare journey and believe it is the heart of midwifery.
All group classes and individual sessions are held in an environment created to provide a compassionate and calming space for learning, open discussions and, if applicable, peer support. Sessions are either individual or limited in size, typically around 8-10 participants, to be flexible enough to allow for participation from all attendees if desired. Each group class will have a topic and outline but will additionally cater to individual needs of the group thus creating a different experience each class. Plenty of time is built into each group class or individual session for questions.

Walking into Mindful Midwifery is such a calming atmosphere and peaceful place to be. It is a comfy and cozy space to have a class and learn. Very professional, clean and she is so kind with providing refreshments. Love it very much!
