These sessions prepare preteen, teens and their mothers to navigate their bodies’ changes throughout puberty and early adulthood. These sessions are intended to include far more than a school discussion! Get provider level insight broken down for each age group. Suggested topic sessions are below.

Mother & Daughter Puberty Preparation
This class is for mother and daughter pairs. This interactive class is geared towards 9-13 year old (per parent preference) girls. Content focuses on getting to know the medical language for your body, puberty, the menstrual cycle, menstrual cycle products, hygiene practices and body safety. This parent/child format will ensure that both parent and child feel comfortable discussing puberty together after the class. This class will not cover topics surrounding sex. If it’s an in-person class a “period starter kit” will be made and explained. If by zoom you will be guided in what to get prior to the class to keep it interactive. Even if you have started the puberty conversation and/or your child has had their first period, this class will build on the information you have already provided. You might even learn some new things yourself! This is an individual session where you are your daughter are the sole focus!
Puberty Party
Everything is so much more fun with friends! This is an opportunity to book the whole class and know everyone there! You also get to define whether it is a guardian or no guardian class. This interactive class is geared towards 9-13 year old girls. Content focuses on getting to know the medical language for your body, puberty, the menstrual cycle, menstrual cycle products, and hygiene practices. This class will not cover topics surrounding sex. A “period starter kit” will be made and explained. Even if the puberty conversation has been started and/or a child has had their first period, this class will build on the information they have already been provided. This class includes: Up to 8 girls with/or without their guardian (individual class preference), an ice cream social mid-class, puberty packs for all girls. Have fun with it and ask everyone to dress in a certain color if you desire (might I suggest red ;). Another bonus: Cost savings compared to individual booking! This class is sure to create positive, fun memories involving puberty! This class is priced upon request.
Parent and Teen Contraceptive Class
There is so much out there about contraception and cycle control…what’s accurate? Which one is right for your teen? As parents, we might not have all the information we need to make an informed decision with our teens. Even worse, sometimes you disagree on the method that seems right. Come together and get more information than an online search or a gyn visit would give you. Each method will be discussed extensively with questions encouraged throughout. Both of you will be more prepared to navigate this important health topic for years to come.
